EX17 Stratification metrics from the 2008 to 2009 profiles

The seiche periods here are CALCULATED, not measured: a two-layer estimate from one cast and an assumed basin length. Both 90 km and 110 km are shown because the answer moves by about a fifth between them. This does not fill NA1, which is about a measured, published period. It is a worked example.

What it contains, and where it is

Thermocline depth, metalimnion bounds, buoyancy frequency, reduced gravity and two internal seiche period estimates, computed for each of the twelve casts in EX12.
